Welcome to Jump Start Builders
A Pre-Construction STEAM Program for Kids
The demand for skilled labor is higher than ever and it’s up to us leaders, parents, and advocates to prepare the next generation of leaders. Our mission is to ignite curiosity and creativity to inspire the next generation to take on a skilled trade. Our goal is to introduce students and young adults to the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) through construction.
As advocates for building leadership skills, we want to introduce children to the field of construction at an early stage to inspire learners through integrating real-world learning experiences, young learners can develop problem-solving skills, gain hands-on learning and experience with pre-construction concepts, and explore STEAM engagingly.
Through instructor-led teaching, workbooks and storybooks like Jump Start Builders and Build and Discover: Leaders in the field are able to create opportunities for children to see themselves in future careers—whether as engineers, architects, or tradespeople. This early exposure sparks curiosity and helps build a pipeline of skilled professionals who are prepared for the evolving construction industry.
